The Women Building Wealth (WBW) global scholarship initiative aims to help women to learn how to start building their wealth investing in the stock market. With these skills, they can better manage the wealth they are generating through their work and businesses.

Winners of the scholarship get free access to the How to Start Building Your Wealth Investing in the Stock Market online course, a US$200 value. In addition, they get access to the private Women Building Wealth Facebook community. In the community, they will meet and get support from other women who can act as guides, inspiration, or mentors.

PRESS RELEASE November 20, 2020: Financial Firm Awards Women Building Wealth scholarships worth US$50,000

A. Stotz Investment Research has awarded 253 Women Building Wealth scholarships to recipients from 13 countries. In this second round, A. Stotz Investment Research partnered with Lean In Malaysia to bring this global initiative to Malaysia. Recipients receive full access to the How to Start Building Your Wealth Investing in the Stock Market online course. The course is known as “This proven, step-by-step system will transform you from feeling frustrated, intimidated, and overwhelmed about investing to being a confident investor who is in control of your financial future.”

Scholarship recipient background

Sixty-one percent of scholars had a bachelor’s degree, 27% a master’s degree, and 3% a high school degree. The rest had doctoral degrees, high school degrees, and associate degrees. For those who held at least a bachelor’s degree, 13% studied accounting, 11% engineering, 9% law, 8% business administration, 7% for each of economics and science, and 5% marketing. The remainder studied management, psychology, computer science, and finance.

Scholars came from 13 countries with 188 from Malaysia, 26 Thailand, 15 Nigeria, 8 Singapore, 3 Bangladesh, 3 Japan, 2, Kenya, and 2 Philippines.  One recipient each came from Australia, Ghana, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Ukraine.
